Canon PIXMA TR8550 has a maximum printing resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi. It works 5 separate inks consisting of pigment black, black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. The ink is of ChromaLife100 type and the print head uses inkjet FINE technology with 1pl droplet size. The unit prints black and white documents at the speed of 15 pages per minute and color documents at 10 pages per minute. Its duplex black and white printing speed is 3 pages per minute and borderless photo printing at the speed of 37 seconds. The duplex printing feature is automated.
